When honey filling becomes a regular batch job, weighing out jar after jar by hand can take up time you would rather spend preparing the next batch or packing orders. With the DANA api MATIC 1000, you set and calibrate a dose, then present each jar and start the cycle. The gear pump dispenses the measured fill and controls the cut-off, so you can concentrate on keeping the batch moving and checking the finished jars.

If you mainly use low jars, the short-legs version keeps the setup compact. If your orders call for different jar heights, the adjustable stand gives you a jar guide and a switch that starts the fill when you bring a jar into position. Both configurations use the same dosing machine, with the operator moving jars through the run.

Overview

The DANA api MATIC 1000 is a compact, computer-controlled filling machine for producers who have moved beyond filling every jar by hand. Its reversible gear pump delivers a calibrated dose, while adjustable pump speed and anti-drip control help you set up the fill for your honey and container.

Why do 20 filling programmes matter? You can keep separate settings for repeat jobs: perhaps one programme for small gift jars and another for your regular retail jars. When that order comes around again, select its programme rather than entering the settings from scratch. Check a test fill on a scale and recalibrate when needed, especially if the honey or target dose has changed.

How a filling cycle works

  1. Connect a suitable feed from your vessel or an optional hopper. The supplied kit includes hose and fittings; tell us about your tank connection so we can check the complete setup.
  2. Select a programme, set the target dose and calibrate it using a test fill and a scale.
  3. Position the jar and start the fill with the supplied foot pedal. With the stand version, bringing the jar against the guide can activate the switch instead.
  4. The pump dispenses the dose and controls the cut-off. Remove the filled jar and present the next one. Clean the product-contact parts according to the machine instructions when the run is finished or you change products.

You remain in control of presenting, removing and checking the jars while the machine handles the measured fill. If your next step is automatic jar handling, ask us about Swienty’s separate turntable stations.

Choose Setup

The short-legs version sits over low jars and starts each fill with the foot pedal. The adjustable stand changes the outlet height, guides jars into position and adds a jar-activated switch; its supplied foot pedal can also be used. In both versions, you place and remove the jars yourself.

If your container is close to a stated height limit, send us its full dimensions and intended outlet so we can check clearance before you order.

Short legs Adjustable stand with switch
Best fit Mainly low jars and a compact workbench setup. Different jar heights and a guided position under the outlet.
Jar height Up to 105 mm with the supplied legs. 35–235 mm; check jars near either limit.
Start a fill Supplied foot pedal. Jar-activated switch at the guide, or the supplied foot pedal.
Physical setup Machine on short legs. Height-adjustable stainless steel table stand with an adjustable jar guide and switch.
Operator task Place each jar, use the foot pedal and remove the filled jar. Place each jar against the guide and remove it after filling; use the foot pedal if preferred.

FAQs

Can it fill something other than honey? Possibly. Tell us how your product flows, its ingredients and filling temperature, plus the dose and container you plan to use. We can check the pump, feed and outlet setup before you order.

Can I switch between different jar sizes? Yes. Save settings for repeat fills in separate programmes. On the stand version, you can also adjust the height and jar guide for the container. Check a test fill on a scale when you change jobs and recalibrate if needed.

Do I need to weigh every jar? You use a scale to calibrate and check test fills. The machine then dispenses the set dose during the run; it does not weigh each jar individually. Continue to make the checks appropriate for your product and packing process.

How many jars per hour can I expect? There is no single rate for every batch. Fill size, honey behaviour and the time it takes to change jars all affect output. The quoted pump capacity is not a jars-per-hour promise.

Do I need a hopper? Not necessarily. The pump needs a suitable product feed, which could come from an optional hopper or a vessel connected with the right fittings. Tell us how you want to supply the honey so we can check the connection.

Does it move jars or put lids on them? No. You present and remove each jar, and handle lids separately. If you want automatic jar handling, ask us about Swienty’s separate turntable stations.

How do I clean it between batches? The product-contact parts can be taken apart for cleaning. Follow the supplied machine instructions for emptying, disconnecting, cleaning and reassembly, especially when changing products.

Can I use it for warm filling? Tell us the product and the temperatures involved before ordering. We will confirm whether the machine and any additional equipment are suitable for your process.
